Tatum Sage

Tatum was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and attended Keystone Montessori from toddler's through 9th grade. At 16, she began working in classrooms as a float for various ages. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Northern Arizona University and later began working as an individual aide at a Montessori school, where she discovered her passion for Special Education. This experience inspired her to pursue and complete a Master’s degree in Special Education (K–12) in 2022.

In 2023, Tatum joined Heartwood as the Special Education Director. She loves watching the children grow in confidence and reach their full potential through individualized learning and support.

Outside of school, Tatum enjoys cooking and baking from scratch, skiing with her family, reading, and—most of all—being a mom. She also shares her home with two dogs and eight chickens, who add plenty of joy and adventure to her days.
